OFFICER, SECURITY

High School/GED Central and Southern Delaware's largest healthcare system, Bayhealth is a progressive two hospital healthcare delivery system committed to the highest quality of care and services.
Comprised of Kent General and Milford Memorial Hospitals, numerous satellite facilities and many employed physician practices encompassing a variety of specialties, Bayhealth has more than 3,100 employees and a medical staff of 425 physicians.
The Security Officer provides security for patients, employees, and visitors and protects Bayhealth Medical Center buildings, assets, and premises as assigned.
Minimum/Preferred
Qualifications:
Education:
Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
Minimum of six (6) months previous Law Enforcement or Security Officer experience required.
Certification:
Current certification through IAHSS preferred.
CPR/AED certification preferred.
Special
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Candidate must not have been convicted of any felony or crime involving moral turpitude.
Due to insurance requirements, all staff must (1) be at least 21 years of age (2) have a current Class D driver's license, and (3) have a current driving record with no more than 3 moving violations or accidents in the past 3 years.
All Security Officer positions require weekend/holiday shift availability.
If not currently certified, twelve (12) months will be allotted to study and pass test for IAHSS (International Association of Healthcare Security and Safety) certification.
Employee must pass exam within 12 months of position.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
