The Nurse Manager Critical Care will work for a non-profit health system, known for their acute care hospital, walk-in centers,, and speciality services. The highly accredited 200
bed acute care hospital received The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval for their Joint Replacement, Stroke, and Heart Failure programs. Reporting to the Director of Nursing, the Nurse Manager Critical Care will oversee overall operations of the critical care department, and be supported by a team of registered nurses, nursing assistants, assistant nurse managers, and nurse educators. As the leader of the department with over 30
direct reports, the Nurse Manager Critical Care will be a resource and advocate to their team through utilizing an open door policy, coaching and mentoring staff, creating a team oriented and collaborative working environment, being a transparent communicator, and initiating disciplinary action as needed. The Critical Care Nurse Manager is also accountable for managing the budget, assuring compliance to all standards policy and procedures, creating quality performance improvement initiatives, and preparing all accreditation and surgery material in a timely manner.
