Description/Job Summary
To maintain, diagnose, repair, rebuild, adjust, perform preventive maintenance, and install equipment within and around the plant facility.
This position is for 3rd shift
Responsibilities/Duties
1. Ensure a safe working environment by eliminating any unsafe or hazardous conditions.
2. Ensure all work areas are kept clean and that the floors are free of liquids and oil spills.
3. Provide own personal hand tools (tool list is on next page)
4. Machine checks are to be performed at the beginning of every shift, to ensure that all equipment is running properly and ready for production.
5. All safety devices on all equipment need to be checked out before running the equipment.
6. Downtime and machine check list must be turned in at the end of your shift.
7. Though out the shift make routine checks on the equipment to ensure it is operating the best it can so it can produce the best possible finished product.
8. Must be proficient in at least three of the following areas:
9. Electrical Wiring
10. Pipe Fitting/Plumbing
11. Welding
12. Shop machinery( the operation of)
13. Sheet Metal
14. Millwright
15. Refrigeration
16. Hydraulics
17. Pneumatics
18. Automatic Equipment operation( Setup, repair, and tear down)
19. Boiler Operation
Required Skills
Strong reading, math, writing, and comprehensive skills are required. A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
Required Education
Vocational/ Technical school completion or equivalent training or three or more years practical experience is required.
